In Croatia the law divides between organized and individual diving. The difference is in handling and licence fees.
What is organized diving?Organized Diving is diving under steadily supervision of a dive guide from a licenced croatian diving center or diving club. The dive guide has to record all supervised divers and their dives and has to supply oxygen, first aid, gsm, emergency plan etc. For organized diving you have to purchase the croatian divers card for 15 Euro (valid for 12 months) and book and pay your boat- and shoredives at the divecenter. Like this you don't have to pay for an additional individual divers card for 340 Euro. What is individual diving? This is every dive without supervision of a dive guide from a licenced croatian diving center or diving club. The individual diver needs to purchase additionally to the diverscard for 15 Euro a divers card for 340 Euro at the harbour authority.
